First separate edition. A lecture on diabetes insipidus, also known as water diabetes, given at the Norwegian Society of Medicine, Sept. 25, 1878. A rare disease, first described in 1794 by Johann Peter Frank [1745-1821], not widely diagnosed,  in which the kidneys produce abnormally large volumes of dilute urine.
