" In Sweden, James Heyman [1892-1945] extended the concept of the Stockholm method for the treatment of cancer of the cervix in three separate intracavitary applications of radium, 2 weeks apart. As chairman of a committee of the League of Nationshe promulgated the staging, and collated the results, of radiotherapy on cancer of the cervix.
