In 1896, Charles Henry reported augmentation of the photographic effect of X-rays at a meeting of the French Academy, February 10, 1896, and he published a paper entitled Augmentation du rendement photographique des rayons Röntgen par le sulfure de zinc phosphorescent, in Comptes Rendus 122, 312-314 (1896).
